BAJA
is the name of the notorious 750+ mile long peninsula that creates the northwest extent of México. No ‘the’ baja, no ‘la’ baja, just baja. It’s a simple, compelling name for a dramatic stretch of land that separated from mainland México and charted its own course. The stunning beauty lies in Baja's intersection of rich seas and endless beaches alongside enduring desert that extends to the mountains. It is a place of powerful magnetism; steeped in legend. Inspired by a 16th Century poem, the Spanish explorers ventured to Baja thinking they would find an island inhabited by Califias - Amazonian style female warriors. The conquistadores found out it was a peninsula and did not come across the famed women, but name stuck and the mysticism only grew.

The people of Baja Califorina Sur are referred to as Choyeros. Aptly named after choyas - one of the desert's most resilient plants. Baja is full of gritty, authentic people who live adventurously and enjoy the simple things with a smile. Acueducto was created to channel the essence of Baja's landscape and culture to immerse guests in the powerful energy of this sacred place. There is so much to do in Baja, so many stunning places, and no shortage of magic.

"The location is perfect - just a short walk from the world class waves of Cerritos Beach and a scenic drive to the charming town of Todos Santos."
